2024-2025 School Year Enrollment for 1st - 11th Grades

 
Caprock Academy’s Kindergarten admission for the 2024-2025 school year will begin on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Prospective families will need to fill out the 2024-2025 Intent to Enroll Form. This form will be available for download from our website or picked up from the school office on or after January 31, 2024.
 
Completed Intent to Enroll Forms for the Kindergarten Lottery will be accepted by the Registrar from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:
 
February, 12th – Feb. 15th (Monday-Thursday)
February, 20th – Feb. 22nd (Tuesday-Thursday)
February, 26th – Feb. 29th (Monday-Thursday)
 
Completed Intent to Enroll Forms will also be accepted from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on the following dates:
 
February 13th (Tuesday)
February 27th (Tuesday)

*Please note that when turning in your completed Intent to Enroll Form, you must check-in at the front office with a valid state-issued ID to receive a visitor badge.
 
1st - 11th Grade Admissions & Enrollment: Understanding the Process
 

 

2024-2025 School Year 1st - 11th Grade Enrollment Procedures

 

Step One:  Fill out an Intent to Enroll Form - Intent to Enroll Forms will be available on January 31, 2024.  You may download the form from our website at www.caprockacademy.org or stop by the school office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. 

 

Step Two:  Turn in your Intent to Enroll Form - You must meet with the Registrar in-person to turn in the Intent to Enroll Form. Forms will be accepted beginning on February 12, 2024. If you do not live locally, please contact the Registrar at [email protected]. Intent to Enroll Forms will be accepted by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm, with the exception of Presidents’ Day in which forms will be accepted Tuesday through Thursday that week. Forms will also be accepted on Tuesday, February 13th and 27th from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

 

Students in 1st through 11th grade are placed on the waiting list according to the date and time that the Intent to Enroll Form is accepted by the Registrar.  Please be aware that your wait time for turning in the Intent to Enroll Form may be longer than expected, depending upon how many people are waiting.  Please sign in at the front desk with a valid state issued id.  You will be asked to wait until you are called back to meet with the Registrar.  If you are unavailable when your name is called, your position will be forfeited and the next person will be called.

  

Step Three: The last week in May/first week in June is when positions for 1st – 11th grade will be offered, if positions are available.

  

Step Four:  Once a position has been offered, you have 24 hours to accept the position via telephone at 970-243-1771, ext. 1120.  You may leave a message after regular office hours.

 

Step Five:  Once you have accepted a position, you have 3 business days to schedule an in-person meeting with the Registrar to turn in your child’s completed Enrollment Packet (they will be available on the website or in the school office on Tuesday, March 5, 2024).  *Please note that up to two parents/guardians plus the student will be allowed on campus for the appointment.

 

Step Six:  Attend scheduled meeting with the Registrar with the completed Enrollment Packet.

Caprock Academy is a tuition-free public charter school. Kindergarten is free for both half-time and full time. Admissions are open to any student residing in the state of Colorado. We are a K-12 public charter school that operates on a first come first served basis. There is no admissions test to be accepted at Caprock Academy. We welcome all students and strive to create and maintain a diverse student population. Student recruitment and admissions decisions shall be made in a non-discriminatory manner as outlined in C.R.A.22-30.5-507(3). In all cases, student recruitment and admissions decisions shall be made without regard to disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, ancestry, need for special education services or any other protected class.

Informational Meetings
for Prospective Families
 
If you are considering Caprock Academy for the educational needs of your family, our Informational Meetings for Prospective Families is an excellent time for you to learn more about our school.  Meetings are usually hosted by our Head of School and last about an hour.  In these meetings our Head of School will share information about Caprock Academy, answer any questions you may have, and provide tours, if interested, with the help of other staff members. All meetings will be held at Caprock Academy at 6:00 PM in Art Room 105 on the following dates:
